Bipartisan Investigation: Palin Abused Power

Who is the 'real' Sarah Palin?

It's official, the bipartisan 'troopergate' report findings are in. The report, from a committee comprised by a majority of Republicans, says that Sarah Palin, essentially violated state law and the public trust, and abused her authority as Governor of Alaska, in firing Walt Monegan, the Alaskan Public Saftey commissioner.

The dominoes begin to fall

From The Trail blog on the Washington Post:
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) abused her executive power when she fired her public safety commissioner this year in the midst of an intense effort to oust her former brother-in-law from the state police force, a special prosecutor has concluded.
They conclude with the following, which you can expect to hear from the Palin-McCain ticket:
Before the report was released, the campaign of Palin's running mate, Sen. John McCain, denounced the investigation as biased and said that the governor did nothing wrong. The campaign characterized Monegan's firing as a "straightforward personnel decision" that has become "muddied with innuendo, rumor and partisan politics."
According to the Associated Press:
The investigative report concludes that a family grudge wasn't the sole reason for firing Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan but says it likely was a contributing factor.
Go ahead barracuda. Make our day. Talk about how you hold the higher moral ground.

The charade is over.
